Find an in-network provider

Visiting in-network providers helps you pay as little as possible for your healthcare.

Luckily, insurance carriers have online tools to help you find in-network providers. Read about how to access your carrier's website.

On your carrier’s website, you’ll find a link to a tool where you can search for in-network providers. You can:

  • Search for specific professionals or practices

  • Find a specific type of service near you

Tip: If you prefer to call to confirm if a provider is in-network, you can also find your carrier’s phone number in your League Wallet.

Before you search

Your carrier may have different networks for different plans. For example, a plan with a broad network may have more in-network providers than a plan with a narrow network. If this is the case, you’ll be able to select your plan before you search for a provider.

The name of your plan and network are available in your Full Coverage Booklet in your League Wallet.

After you book an appointment

You should always call the provider to confirm they’re in-network.The network can change, but your carrier’s website may not display changes right away. Calling the provider is the best way to guarantee they’re currently in-network.

When you call the provider make sure to tell them your:

  • Carrier

  • Plan name and network

After you find a provider

Your carrier’s network can change over time. If your provider is no longer included in your carrier’s network, it’s possible they won’t tell you about the change. This puts you at risk of paying more money or not receiving any coverage.

You can avoid this risk by routinely checking in with your provider. They can confirm if they’re still in-network with your carrier and plan.
